Home Remedies for Low Blood Pressure

People often talk about hypertension, which is high blood pressure because of its common occurrence in human especially to the elders. Juices are quite helpful too in treating low blood pressure. One of the recommended juices that you should include in your diet for this purpose is carrot juice. You may add one or two tablespoons of honey to your carrot juice and drink it twice a day on an empty stomach in the morning and evening. Other than that, lemon juice is highly effective in treating both high and low blood pressure. This is especially true when the low blood pressure is caused by dehydration. In conditions like this, it is advisable to drink some lemon juice mixed with a little bit of salt or sugar as it helps to energize your body by stimulating the function of the liver while aiding in our digestion. Other options may include sugarcane juice, in which you can mix in a teaspoon of lemon juice and salt. Raw beetroot juice can also be very helpful in dealing with both high and low blood pressure. In case of low blood pressure, try this simply home remedy by simply drinking a cup of beetroot juice twice per day. Try this for at least two weeks to see any improvement to it.

It is good if you drink it every day to relieve low blood pressure.

Holy basil is also an herb that is beneficial for low blood pressure as it is rich in vitamin C, potassium, magnesium and pantothenic acid. You can include this remedy as part of your daily morning liquid intake by just extracting the juice out of about 15-20 basil leaves. You can add some honey for some sweetness and drink the juice on an empty stomach. Alternatively, you can simply chew about four to five basil leaves daily during the morning time.  

Rosemary, as most of you know has a great number of benefits. This herb is able to help in promoting the central nervous system that in turn, helps in improving blood circulation. Rosemary was used to be included in white wine as it helps to regulate blood pressure and circulation and nowadays, it is used as ointment for massaging to raise the blood pressure. Therefore, rosemary is definitely one home remedy that worth a try if you have low blood pressure problem. There are slightly more steps in preparing this home remedy. You will need a quarter cup of dried rosemary leaves and olive oil. First of all, put the dried rosemary leaves into a jar with lid and pour the olive oil in as well. Make sure that the olive oil covers the dried leaves completely. Then, cover the jar with its lid and leave it aside for about two to three days. Thereafter, transfer the mixture of content into another jar and cover it tightly. After about 30 minutes, you can start to apply the oil mixture on your chest to counter low blood pressure problem. Do it frequently until you are able to reduce or get rid of the problem. As time progress, there are many alternative ways to get the full benefits of rosemary leaves. For example, you may simply add rosemary essential oils in a diffuser to get the aromatherapy benefits. Also, you may take up to 10ml of rosemary tincture daily in order to normalize your low blood pressure.  

Licorice root is another well-known home remedy in normalizing low blood pressure caused by low levels of cortisol. This herb is able to do that by blocking the enzyme that breaks down cortisol as well as supporting the healthy adrenalin functions. As mentioned, the conditions of low blood pressure can be caused by many issues like dehydration, nutritional deficiencies, decrease in blood volume, endocrine disorders, prolonged bed rest, pregnancy and neurological disorders. Despite many medications available such as alpha blockers, beta blockers, diuretics and antidepressants, many people will prefer to have more options including trying out natural home remedies for low blood pressure. It is not harmful to try these home remedies but it is always good to consult a doctor if your condition is more complicated.
